6-year-old dies after being hit by vehicle on Black Horse Pike in Pleasantville

PLEASANTVILLE, N.J. (WPVI) -- A child was killed after he was hit by a car on Sunday night in Pleasantville, Atlantic County.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. in the area of the Black Horse Pike and Noahs Road.
According to police, a 6-year-old boy entered the roadway and was hit by a car traveling westbound on the Black Horse Pike.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with officers, police said.
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
The name of the child who died has not been released.
